Discourse Analysis and Cross-cultural Communication开题报告

1. 研究目的与意义

There is a close relationship between culture, language and thinking. Different cultures reflect different languages, different languages accumulate different cultures. Language and culture are based on thinking, and at the same time restrict human thinking. Verbal communication in rich cultural deposit is difficult to get rid of it, whether it is reflected in the speech act in a unique way of thinking and language habits, communicative strategies, or speech events in different language and pragmatic characteristics, and cognitive changes and speech situation construction, give us a lot of increased difficulties on cross cultural discourse understanding. From a cultural point of view to analyze the speech act, speech event, and speech situation in cross-cultural discourse analysis, we can better understand the cross-cultural discourse.

2. 研究内容和预期目标

My paper will give a brief introduction on the definition of cross-cultural communication and the meaning and function of discourse analysis. Then try to offer some common examples of discourse analysis.

3. 国内外研究现状

there have been many researches on the introduction of discourse analysis and cross-cultural communication, for example, brown, gillian and yule, george, from california, have offered their opinions in discourse analysis and 《英语话语分析与跨文化交际》by wang dexing in china.

with the greater depth of economic globalization , we should pay more attention to discourse analysis in the cross-cultural communication. that is why i attempt to make a research on this topic.
