research purpose:

with the acceleration of globalization and the wide introduction of the one belt and one roadinitiative, china and other countries around the world have become more closely connected.thus chinese and foreigners have more opportunities tointeractin business, diplomacy, folk customs and many other aspects. however, due to deep-rooted prejudicesand differences in cultural backgrounds, communication between different nationalities faces difficultiesin some situations.hence a suitable occasionwill be of great benefit to have a harmony intercultural dialogue with foreigners. for example, achinese talk show named informal talkssuccessfully has been seen as asignificant place for foreigners talking china issues in chinesefor recent years. since talk show has a relatively short history in china, this show’s success interests some domestic scholars. taking informal talksas an example, this research ties to appreciate its art of dialogue and figure out how tomakeeffective conversationin cross-cultural communication. andit is also aimed toexplore how chinese talk show can become an efficientplatform for cultural exchanges.
