1. 研究目的与意义(文献综述)

purpose andsignificance:

language is an important carrier of culture. to some extent, they are interdependent. the level of language ability is closely related to the cultural quality of language users, especially under the increasingly urgent demand for cross-cultural communication since it is difficult to communicate effectively if people only know the language but not the culture. an individual who does not fully understand the mother tongue culture cannot really understand other cultures. the lack of mother tongue culture will make students unable to express or introduce mother tongue culture in english in the process of communication with westerners, resulting in foreigners' misunderstanding of chinese culture and obstacles to cross-cultural communication, thus failing to achieve the purpose of cultural communication.

however, in recent years, much attention has been paid to the cultivation of students' intercultural communication ability through the introduction of target culture, but the teaching of mother tongue cultural knowledge has not been fully concerned. the teaching of english majors focuses on the target language culture and ignores the mother tongue culture, which makes english learners have the ability to express the target language and culture in english, but lack the ability to express the mother tongue culture in english. this kind of phenomenon is called "mother tongue cultural aphasia".
