agricultural policies in central and i mean cameroon have long focused on developing traditional export sectors as they bring in foreign exchange earnings. this has resulted in marginalizing consumer products (cereals and food products) on which small farmers depend for their survival and integration into the economy.
starting nearly a decade ago, issues and challenges related to food security have become more critical, with rapid population growth and fewer people working in agriculture.

my research project will be in the good way because i will try to compare cameroon agricultural policy and other developing country policy . i will also try to combine theorical modeling with some empirical research.
i intend to get some materials from the university library, notably through its existing publications and textbooks. i will also study and review a lot more resources from various textbooks published in cameroon or abroad relating to my subject matter.

in cameroon agriculture, is the backbone of the countrys economy. .in corrupt countries, the political leaders connive make easy money, which cannot be traced. my study therefore will help me to address the question of how to come up with good strategies which can control activities that create barriers to effective policy operation and the implications for my country and others which depend on agriculture, mining, tourism, manufacturing, exports and imports to meet development goals.
agriculture in cameroon is faced by various problems notably; poverty in rural areas which is mainly characterized by the absence or limited availability of basic facilities, low productivity due to traditional land practices, insufficient funding to farmers and agricultural projects as a whole, food safety and quality and a few others.

after conferring with my supervisor, i will process the collected data and start writing my thesis from the 27th february 2014 and finish writing by the 24th of april 2014. my work will then be submitted to my supervisor for further corrections and orientation.
if any suggestions and modifications requested by my supervisor are to be made, im very certain i can accomplish these modifications before may 15th 2014. after final approval by my supervisor and the entire faculty, a final paper will be submitted before the end of may 2014.
