1. 研究目的与意义
There are many differences in Chinese and western cultures, food cultures are as well. With the more and more communications between China and western countries, people have more chances to experience those differences. However, if people are not familiar with western food cultures, they may meet some embarrassing troubles. Therefore, doing some researches in differences of food cultures will help people avoid intercultural misunderstanding. It will make Chinese and western food cultures in a harmonious environment and push the absorption and combinations of Chinese and western food cultures.
2. 研究内容和预期目标
this paper aims at finding out the differences in chinese and western food cultures and reasons of those differences. the first part covers general introduction of chinese and western food cultures. there will be a mainly research of characteristics of chinese and western food cultures, let people know clearly about those two kinds of food cultures.
then, next part will analyze those differences in chinese and western food cultures from concepts, use of raw materials, cooking ways and table manners. these analyses will be expressed in some detailed aspects to show different food cultures.
the following part focuses on reasons of those differences. reasons will be studied in history, cultures and environment. this part will show deep reasons leading to those cultures.
3. 国内外研究现状
Nowadays, people do a large amount of researches in studying differences of food cultures between China and western countries. Their researches are mainly doing in some respects. Those respects are generally divided into historical background, food content, food habits, food concepts and table manners. Recent years, these researches in food cultural differences reach a new high place. They not only analyze the differences but also combine those two kinds of food cultures to get improvement of each other. In China, people researched more about the differences in cooking ways of Chinese food and western food before. Now, Chinese people can make good connections with western cooking ways and make a great development of Chinese food. For example, in Chinese food culture, people pay more attention to the combination of appearances, smell, and taste of food, but in western food culture, people focus on the nutrition of food. The recent development of Chinese food culture is mainly about the combination of appearances, smell, taste and nutrition.
4. 计划与进度安排
The paper structure will be made out through analyzing the resources which is found in library and on the Internet. According to the structure of this paper, I will put my work in orders and finish it step by step. My work will generally depend on the arrangement of our school.
