british drama has always been famous for its excellent production and profound analysis of human nature. in recent years, the hot downton abbeyis one of the outstanding models. through telling the story of the manor and its occupants, downton abbeydepicts a selected but true picture of the times to the world.downton abbeyis a post-modern, miniature of a country, which has a lot in common with the contemporary society. this paper analyzes the character of the youngest and most rebellious daughter, sybil crowley. by describing the different performances of sybilbefore and after marriage and comparing with other women in the family, this paper analyzes the limitations brought by the times to her and women.
