国外研究现状： 关于罗伯特·布鲁姆菲尔德更多聚焦的是对他诗文内容风格的评判。
国内研究现状：布鲁姆菲尔德作为英国“农民诗人”，国内研究不多，他的作品还有诸多可深入挖掘之处。
研究意义和价值：以微知著，如借由布鲁姆菲尔德诗歌中的自然意象一窥18世纪英国乡村的变迁，借由布鲁姆菲尔德的农民视角思考圈地运动对英国乡村的系列影响。作为结合英国圈地运动进行文学和历史、农业、经济、社会学等的跨学科研究；反映18世纪末英国乡村文学，尤其是圈地运动对“乡村写作”的系列影响；结合浪漫主义理论对罗伯特·布鲁姆菲尔德作品进行分析。
