一.本课题的意义：

the reconstruction andredesign of national parks and game reserves is a necessary step in thedevelopment of landscape architecture as much as it is necessary for thesurvival of national parks. this act will be of great benefits to not only thecommunities around the national parks but also the individual country andcontinent as a whole, both economically and ecologically. the main objectivesof this study are to create an eco-friendlier and community-based landscapeswhile improving the aesthetic properties of the parks. currently most nationalparks in africa are not socially friendly and due to the constant change ofclimate and global warming, the green aspect of these parks keepsdeteriorating. this calls for a redesign and reconstruction of national parkswhich will also open the parks to the community around as a safe and greenrecreation area, where man can interact with the wild, the forest and nature asa whole. the desired result is to see an increase in the number of accessible nationalparks, a significant increase in the green space in national parks, creation ofmore aesthetic and appealing parks which will consequently increase thecountry’s revenue through tourism and not forgetting the restoration andconservation of the ecological systems in these parks.

This project’s special and innovativefeature will include: A certain percentage of land designated as specific areafor wilderness; A design of visitor facilities that won’t visually interruptthe natural or historic surroundings; this includes a combination of nativewood and stone with convincingly native styles to create visually appealingstructures that seem to fit naturally within the majestic landscapes includingentrance gateways, hotels and lodges, park roads and bridges, visitor centers,trail shelters, information kiosks and even mundane maintenance and supportfacilities. The project will also adapt use of parkitecture- a style ofarchitecture that developed in the early and middle 20^th centurythrough its efforts to create buildings that harmonized with the naturalenvironment.
