1. 研究目的与意义
The whole society and human life style has been changing as the development of modern science and technology, as a result, the people#8217;s ways of thinking and thoughts are very different. In the other words, changes are full of their life; will they still remember the traditions? What#8217;s more, many young men prefer to stay with the cold machines, like computer, micro phone rather than to face and talk with their parents. Throughout analyzing the conflicts between mothers and daughters in the Joy Luck Club, I think we can get some enlightenment.
2. 研究内容和预期目标
My paper will focus on the main contradictions in the Joy Luck Club, for example, the conflicts between Chinese immigrant mothers and their American-raised daughters and their struggling to understand each other. The first part will give a brief introduction to the book and its author. Then I will show a summary of the plots and the relationships of the characters. The third part will discuss the maternal love in the books and their relationships initial. Next, the thesis will explore the conflicts between mothers and daughters, the contradictions between two different cultrues and the conflicts between feudal society and women and so on. At last, the paper will try to conclude that inspite the inevitable conflicts between the different cultures, they can be coexisting and compatible with love; love and sincerity is the bridge of communication heart forever.
