1. 研究目的与意义

This thesis aims to analyze the necessity of compromise, based on black-white relations, where we can see from Gone With the Wind. Compromise penetrates into our life and it can be seen everywhere. So to speak, after we learn to compromise, we are able to live in a coordinated and harmonious way. I want to analyze the necessity of compromise based on black-white relations because the issue between the black and the white is very complex and representative. I will use Gone With the Wind as an example, through the research of the black-white relations, we can have an overview of the necessity of compromise during the histroy of human civilization. As we are related to others, our relationships are built on our interaction with other people. So communication skill-compromise is very important. Awareness of the necessity of compromise will help us create an efficient interpersonal relationship.

2. 研究内容和预期目标

The thesis intends to give a detailed analysis to the necessity of compromise based on black-white relations in a more practical and realistic aspect through the research of Gone With the Wind. This thesis mainly consists of three parts: introduction, black-white relations in Gone With the Wind, reflections in black-white relations and conclusion. Firstly, the introduction is concerned with the present state of the relevant research, the purpose of this paper, and the significance of the chosen topic. Secondly, black-white relations in Gone With the Wind consist of two parts, concerning the analysis of black-white relations in Gone With the Wind and current situation of black and white. Thirdly, reflections in black-white relations state three points: impossibility of eliminating bias, necessity of compromise and trend of people getting along in future. Lastly, the conclusion summarizes this thesis. The thesis will discuss the trend of people getting along in the future and state that bias can#8217;t be eliminated and compromise is necessary. The practical significance of this thesis is to indicate the hardness of people getting along well in the future and emphasize the necessity of compromise the demand of current era.

3. 国内外研究现状

There are many studies about American#8217;s black-white relations and many researches on Gone With the Wind in western and China. They discussed the cause, process, result and many aspects of the black-white relations from view of culture, economy, institution and so on. The achievement is fruitful. However, these studies pay little attention on the necessity of compromise reflected from the relationship, which means the researches lack touch with contemporary change. With the development of advanced media technology, the world seems to become smaller and closer and communication has become the platform for us entering into society. Konwing the necessity of compromise in communication may help us integrate into society. Since a more detailed research related to the necessity of compromise is still a work in progress, I want to discuss the trend of people getting along in the future. Then I want to state that bias can#8217;t be eliminated and compromise is necessary.
